Compliance and certifications
Every client engagement is backed by the same compliance framework. Documentation available on request.
DPA 2019
Data Protection and Privacy Act Uganda. All personal data we process is handled under the DPA 2019, which governs collection, storage, processing and transfer. Our contracts include a Data Processing Agreement as standard, covering both Ugandan and international clients.
PPDA Registration
Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority registration. This registration qualifies Corpshore Uganda for tenders with government bodies, UN agencies and development finance institutions operating under Uganda procurement rules.
IRA Compliance
Insurance Regulatory Authority Uganda compliance for data handling and customer communication in the insurance sector. Relevant to insurance back-office and claims processing clients operating in Uganda and the wider EAC.
ISO 27001 Alignment
Formal ISO 27001 certification is in progress. Our information security management system already follows the ISO 27001 framework. We share our current security posture documentation with prospective clients during the scoping process.
NITA-U Training Partner
Registered training partner of the National Information Technology Authority Uganda. This accreditation covers our IT and digital skills training programmes and supports our status as a preferred provider for government-funded digital workforce development initiatives.
EAC Standards Compliant
Our service delivery meets East African Community harmonised standards for business services. Relevant to clients managing cross-border programmes across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi, where consistent standards are a procurement requirement.
Five reasons clients choose Uganda
Each factor has a measurable impact on delivery quality and total cost of ownership.
Language depth across 12 languages
Our team covers English, Luganda, Swahili, Runyankore, Lusoga, Lugbara, Acholi, Ateso, Lukonjo, French, Kinyarwanda and Lingala. For AI annotation, field research and customer-facing roles, this is not a feature available from any provider in South Asia or Eastern Europe. It is the single most common reason clients switch to Corpshore Uganda from a competing provider.
Cost position: 60 to 70 percent below European rates
Monthly rates for equivalent roles run 60 to 70 percent below UK and Australian delivery, and 30 to 40 percent below comparable South Asian alternatives in cases where EAC language is required. The gap is structural: Uganda's graduate supply, living costs and infrastructure costs all position it favourably. Use our calculator on the homepage for a personalised comparison in USD, GBP or UGX.
Time zone: UTC+3 covers Europe fully
East Africa Time (EAT, UTC+3) sits within two hours of Central European Time and within one hour of Gulf Standard Time. A single Kampala shift covers the full European business day and overlaps US East Coast mornings. This matters for client-facing roles and for teams working in real-time with European counterparts. No split shifts, no overnight arrangements required for European clients.
Graduate supply from Makerere and beyond
Makerere University alone produces over 50,000 graduates annually. Uganda's tertiary education system turns out candidates in business administration, computing, accounting and health sciences at a rate that consistently exceeds current BPO sector demand. English is the official language of instruction and government, so proficiency is systemic, not a screening exception. Corpshore recruits from this pipeline and maintains a bench for fast scale-up.
Business environment stability in the EAC
Uganda ranked third most stable business environment in the East African Community in the World Bank 2025 assessment, behind Kenya and Rwanda. Political continuity, a functioning banking system and consistent telecommunications infrastructure underpin delivery. Kampala has no annual typhoon season, no hurricane risk and no regular large-scale natural disruptions that affect operations in competing locations across Asia.
